Master Plan

Cross section

Isometric

The site works like a centrifugal and centripetal force in action, from and to which to travel, generating reference between different destinations, as well as existing axes or corridors; Paseo de la Reforma east-west, Av. de los Insurgentes north-south and east-west to the Plaza de la Ciudadela, all of them referring to other destination points. It must be integrated into a city plan, as an articulating piece, recognizing pre-existences and potentiating the space between them. They are corridors that renew the vocation of the area and add new programs that enrich it by creating a new neighborhood life between Cuauhtémoc and San Rafael, as well as the junctions of Insurgentes and Reforma.

The Sullivan-Villalongin corridor is understood as a series of anchors of activities and common identity for neighborhoods involved in their daily lives, sidewalks and streets are the most immediate open public spaces, the potential of urban life to be intertwined with the widest public spaces. We have decided that we must generate a series of strategies and actions understanding the potential of what exists, so we generate two types of route in the longitudinal direction: a central one of spaces with different vocations that allow security and tranquility to carry out longer lasting activities such as play areas of different ages, the exhibition, etc., these spaces change in their route and program, with hard, semi-hard (permeable) places, gravel, green and mixed, and equipment is being added.
